Top Questions Tourists Ask Before Booking a Shooting Range in Vegas
Las Vegas has no shortage of unique experiences, but for many tourists, shooting a machine gun ranks near the top. If it’s your first time booking a shooting range in Vegas, you’re not alone in having questions. Here are the most common ones we hear at Strip Gun Club, along with the answers you need before your visit.
1. Do I need a firearms license or permit to shoot?
No license or prior experience is required. All you need is a valid photo ID and to meet the legal eligibility requirements. Our experienced Range Safety Officers walk you through everything step by step.
2. Is it safe?
There are always risks involved with handling firearms, but we do everything we can to minimize them. Our indoor facility is professionally maintained, climate-controlled, and staffed by trained firearms experts. Safety briefings, gear, and supervision are included with every experience.
3. Can I choose which guns I shoot?
Absolutely. We offer both preset shooting packages and a popular “Build Your Own” option. Guests can select from a wide variety of firearms, including historical icons and modern military weapons.
4. What is included in the price?
All packages include firearms, ammunition, safety gear, and one-on-one instruction from our staff. Shuttle transportation is available to anyone staying on or near the Strip, with reservations receiving priority pickup.
5. Can I take pictures and videos?
Yes. We encourage guests to capture their experience. Personal photos and videos are welcome and make great souvenirs.
6. How long does it take?
Most sessions last between 45 minutes and one hour, depending on the package and group size. Since we’re located directly on the Strip, there is no long drive involved. Your experience is fast, exciting, and convenient.
7. Do I need to book in advance?
Walk-ins are welcome, but booking in advance is strongly recommended to guarantee your time slot and receive priority for shuttle service.
8. What are the age restrictions?
All guests must be at least 10 years old to enter the range. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Shooters must also be legally allowed to handle firearms under U.S. law.
9. What should I wear to the range?
Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended for safety and comfort. While not required, they offer better protection during your experience. We also suggest wearing comfortable, fitted clothing. Avoid high heels or anything too loose that could interfere with safe firearm handling.
10. Can I bring my own firearm?
We do not have the space or scheduling flexibility to accommodate personal firearms. All shooting experiences are conducted using our in-house inventory, which is maintained and supervised by our professional staff to ensure safety and efficiency.
Whether you’re crossing a machine gun experience off your bucket list or looking for something unforgettable to do in Las Vegas, Strip Gun Club delivers a safe, premium, and adrenaline-packed visit just steps from your hotel.
