Fire the Guns That Won the War

The World War II Package is a unique shooting experience. Every gun on this line is an icon of the war, the same weapons that armed the American rifle squad from the beaches of Normandy to the islands of the Pacific. The sidearm. The battle rifle. The carbine. The Tommy gun. The squad automatic. This is the loadout that won the war, and now it is yours to fire.

Strip Gun Club is the only luxury shooting range located directly on the Las Vegas Strip, and reservations take less than two minutes online. Your complimentary pickup from your hotel handles the rest. Walk off the Strip in the morning and fire an M1 Garand by the afternoon. There is no other way to spend a day in Vegas like this one.

Meet the Guns

Five weapons, one complete piece of military history. Each was developed for a different job inside the same squad, and you fire every one of them with a professional range safety officer on the line. Here is what you are shooting.

Colt 1911 .45 ACP – 16 Rounds

The 1911 is where the squad started, and we run it the way the GIs carried it. Designed by John Browning and adopted by the U.S. military in 1911, the M1911A1 was the sidearm every officer, NCO, and tanker carried through the war. We offer the classic GI configuration: a single-action, steel-framed pistol chambered in hard-hitting .45 ACP, with a crisp trigger and the balance that has kept it in service for more than a century.

M1 Garand .30-06 – 16 Rounds

This is the rifle that armed the American infantry. General Patton called the M1 Garand the greatest battle implement ever devised, and once you fire it, you understand why. It was the first semi-automatic rifle issued as standard to any army in the world, giving GIs a decisive edge in firepower over bolt-action enemies.

Chambered in full-power .30-06, it loads from an eight-round en-bloc clip and ejects that clip with a metallic ping you will remember long after you leave the range. Eight rounds, full power, the rifle that carried the war.

M1 Carbine .30 Carbine – 25 Rounds

Light, fast, and easy to handle, the M1 Carbine was built during the war for the soldiers who needed more than a pistol but less than a full battle rifle: paratroopers, officers, radiomen, and support troops.

It fires the soft-recoiling .30 Carbine cartridge, which makes it the most approachable gun in the package and a favorite for first-time shooters. Quick to aim, quick to follow up, and a direct connection to the men who carried it. Consider this your warm-up before the heavier iron.

Thompson .45 ACP – 25 Rounds

The Tommy gun. No submachine gun is more closely tied to the American soldier in World War II. Designed by John T. Thompson and chambered in the same.45 ACP as the 1911, the Thompson delivers rapid, full-auto firepower, and yes, you run it in full-auto with your range safety officer right beside you. Heavy, solid, and unmistakable, it is one of the most recognizable weapons of the twentieth century.

Browning M1918 BAR .30-06 – 20 Rounds

The Browning Automatic Rifle is the centerpiece, and for most shooters, it is the reason they book. One man in every rifle squad carried the BAR, a full-auto, .30-06 squad automatic weapon that delivered sustained firepower on the move. It is big, it is loud, and it hammers.

Firing the BAR is the closest you will come to standing in the boots of a WWII automatic rifleman, and it is the perfect way to finish the package.

What to Expect

Your complimentary pickup departs from your hotel on the Las Vegas Strip and brings you directly to Strip Gun Club at 2235 South Las Vegas Boulevard. No rental car, no navigation, no wasted afternoon. When you arrive, your range master handles check-in and walks you through a full safety briefing before you touch any of the weapons.

The session is built to move the way a soldier would: you start on the 1911 sidearm, work up through the M1 Carbine, step into the M1 Garand, run the Thompson, and finish on the BAR. By the time you reach the full-auto Browning, you have already built real trigger control and recoil management on the lighter guns, so you actually shoot it rather than just hang on.

Unlimited photos and videos are included throughout the session, giving you something to remember for life. Before you leave, ask the staff about shooting a souvenir coin, one of the more memorable ways to end a Vegas afternoon. Total time is approximately 30 minutes.

Who This Package Is For

Las Vegas ranges attract guests from every background, and the World War II Package is built for those who want history, not just noise.

  • History buffs and WWII enthusiasts: If you have read the books, watched the series, and studied the campaigns, this is your chance to fire the weapons behind them. Every gun on the line tells part of the same story.
  • Veterans and military families: For many guests, these are the weapons a grandfather or great-grandfather carried. Firing them is a connection to your own family history, handled with respect by a team that takes it seriously.
  • Multi-generational groups: Available for ages 10 and up with a parent or legal guardian present, the package is built for families and groups who want to share something real together.
  • First-timers: You do not need any experience. The range master instruction, the sequenced progression from sidearm to BAR, and the controlled indoor environment make this a legitimate first shooting experience.
  • Anyone who wants a story: There are a lot of things to do in Vegas in a week. Very few of them involve firing an M1 Garand. This one does.

FAQ

Can I shoot a real M1 Garand in Las Vegas?

Yes. The M1 Garand is a centerpiece of our World War II Package and one of the most historically significant rifles ever issued. Before you fire it, your range master walks you through a full safety briefing and hands-on instruction covering stance, aim, the en-bloc clip, and what to expect from the .30-06 recoil.

What World War II guns can you shoot at your range?

The World War II Package puts five iconic service weapons in your hands: the Colt 1911 sidearm, the M1 Garand battle rifle, the M1 Carbine, the Thompson submachine gun, and the Browning M1918 BAR. Together, they make up the loadout of a WWII U.S. rifle squad.

Is the Thompson full auto?

Yes. You fire the Thompson in full-auto, sending a full magazine of .45 ACP downrange under the direct supervision of your range safety officer. It is one of the most satisfying guns in the package to run.

Are these original World War II firearms?

The package is built around the iconic American service weapons of the war. Our 1911 is offered in the classic GI configuration, the same design carried by U.S. forces. When you book, our staff can tell you about the specific guns on the line that day.

Can first-time shooters book this package?

Absolutely. No prior experience is required. The package is sequenced to start you on lighter, easy-handling guns and build up to the BAR, with a professional range safety officer beside you the entire time.

Do you offer complimentary pickup from my hotel?

Yes. Complimentary round-trip transportation is included with your booking. We arrange a pickup from your hotel on or near the Strip, bring you directly to the range, and return you afterward. No rental car, no rideshare, no hassle.
